The Daily’s Fed desk without the photo header — four ways to handle the top. Same masthead, question, chart and causal chain; only the header treatment differs.

N1Header rowA clean tag · odds row under a hairline, then the big question. The most minimal removal of the image.

N1 · Minimal. The data row replaces the photo; nothing else changes.

N2Stat heroA fog band where the photo was — question left, a large 0.62 + delta right. The odds become the hero instead of the image.

N2 · Stat hero. Leads with the number — most “forecast-y.”

N3Ink bandA dark band replaces the photo (keeps the masthead→band rhythm) with the tag, question and odds in white/rust.

N3 · Ink band. Same structure as the photo version, just monochrome.

N4Chart-forwardNo band at all — question, then the odds chart immediately (the chart is the visual), then a stat line + read + chain.

N4 · Chart-forward. The chart does the work the image used to.
